February 28, 2019, Albuquerque, N.M. - Meet Matt Avila, the Director of Public Affairs for the Duke City Gladiators, Albuquerque’s Professional Arena Football Team and reigning 2018 CIF Southern Conference Champions!
As the Director of Public Affairs, Matt will be working and forming relationships with various members of the media, government, and public. His experience running The Avila Agency
(with Symmetry Financial Group) has already provided him a solid base of influential contacts and associates. The ITT Tech graduate will develop and execute strategies intended to create and uphold a positive public image for new and existing Gladiator fans.
Originally from Raton, New Mexico, Matt has made Albuquerque his home since 2004. Since arriving he has been a very active member of the community. Matt was a 2017 LLS Man of the Year Nominee and a candidate for “Real Men Wear Pink” (in association with Breast Cancer Foundation). He also served a two-year stint as President of the BCSO Academy Alumni Association.
Matt is a family-driven individual and credits his mother and sister with instilling solid family morals and values. In his free time, he is an avid sports player and enjoys volunteering for community and law enforcement charity events and spoiling his niece.
“I am grateful for the friendships and family-like relationships I have developed with the people here in Albuquerque.”
We are proud to welcome Matt Avila to the Duke City Gladiator family!
