Allen, TX - It was a tough break for the Gladiators as they just couldn't seem to get the ball rolling. The Revolution scored 3 touchdowns without their offense even touching the ball. The 1st & 2nd quarter became a back and forth jousting match. The Gladiators gained some momentum as they closed the gap and went into halftime with a score of 32-26. Duke City took its first lead early in the 3rd quarter with a 1 yard touchdown punch in by Randy Salmon which made it 33-32. The lead was then extended with a great 35 yard touchdown reception by Dexter Manley, but a missed extra point only kept the lead by 6. As a western shoot out ensued, the Revolution made a quick recovery and tied it up towards the end of the 3rd quarter. Texas kicked off and received 1 point on a rouge as the Gladiators did not advance the ball out of the end zone. With 12:52 left in the 4th quarter and the inability to convert on 3rd down, the Gladiators scored on an 11 yard field goal by Zeke Arevalo making it 42-40. With multiple attempts of knocking on the door to score within the 10 yard line, Duke City was unable to do so and turnovers occurred which resulted in the Revolution scoring. As the game drew near to the end, the Gladiators faced a 54-42 uphill battle and made some progress as they drove down and scored on a Roland Bruno 1 yard touchdown reception with 13 seconds remaining. An onside kick was attempted, but made an unfortunate bounce off a Revolution foot out of bounds. The final score was 54-49 which knocked the Gladiators out of the running for the Champions Indoor Football playoffs. Gladiators now sit at a 4-4 record in league play 6-4 overall.
